Resonance is a mood-based music app that was developed in collaboration with a fellow designer. This app was created as a way to let users get in touch with their emotions through music. The app has its own unique flow and features a wide variety of music genres that are curated into playlists based on different moods along with features, such as music discovery, personalized recommendations, and personal listening trends. This app was developed in five total phases: market & user research and competitive analysis, personas & wireframing, prototyping & low-fidelity user testing, high fidelity UI & design systems, and interactive prototype & final user testings.
During this phase, users were interviewed on their music app preferences and a competitor analysis was conducted on the users' most used music app, which was Spotify. A user flow of the competitor's app was then created along with a value proposition for the developing music app.
Four personas were created based on the user interviews, highlighting their frustrations with their preferred music app. Low-fidelity wireframes were created for the developing app and a user flow was constructed using these wireframes.

An initial user testing was conducted with the same users that were interviewed using the low-fidelity wireframes, which was used for a data analysis. Feedback on the developing app were taken into account and updates were made accordingly.
The app has a set color palette that evokes a moody feeling as well as makes use of colors outside the palette that are in tune with all the different moods there is. This version of the app mainly taps into the sad mood for the unique flow.

One last round of user testing was done with the high-fidelity designs. Feedback from the testing was then applied to the final app design.
